PDL Gents League
Congratulations to Glencarse for defending the PDL Division 1 title.
Congratulations to Rattray for winning the Division 2 title and promotion to Division 1 along with Stanley.
Both Leagues were fiercely contested with the destination of both titles only being decided by the final games. That says a lot about the quality of the teams involved and the strength of gents bowling in Perthshire.
On behalf of the PDBL a huge thank you to all member clubs for their committment to the gents league competitions, for collaborating and supporting each other as we were forced to re-arrange many games due to heavy rainfalls, for timely submssion of results and all the associated administration and organisation involved in fulfilling 14 fixtures across 4 months of the season.

Congratulations to Crieff on being crowned our PDL Mixed League Champions for 2024 after a narrow victory over Glencarse.
A terrific display of bowling across all four rinks with the result going down to the last bowl on the last end of the last game.
Well done and thank you to all the players, Blackford for their excellent hospitality and catering, President Stephen Bodle for marking the singles, PDL Vice-President Ewan Robertson for running the 'big board' in excellent fashion and Gordon Barclay for umpiring.
Congratulations to Glencarse and Crieff for winning their Sections and qualifying for the final which will be played on Friday 16th August at Blackford.

Line up for the Centenary finals attached.
Well done to all the semi-final winners and good luck in the finals!
One thing to note ahead of finals day.
Historically we have played all 3 finals concurrently using 6 rinks. We do not have the capacity to accommodate 6 rinks this year so the 3 finals will have staggered start times across 4 rinks.
Note: The Cup final is estimated to begin at 2pm, but is obviously dependent on the Bowl final being completed so it may be delayed but in the interest of player arrival times etc, it will not start before 14:00.
Hopefully that makes sense!
Any problems, please let me know.

Unfortunately, we have had several withdrawals again this year which leaves us with no option but to cancel the plate competition. Thankfully, with the inclusion of Methven, the numbers are sufficient to proceed with the Cup, Shield and Bowl competitions as usual.
We have four groups of 3 clubs. So all clubs will have 2 fixtures to play in group stages. Full draw sheet attached.
